Fourteen ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University students, from the Mansfield and Lock Haven locations, recently returned from studying abroad in the Central American country of Belize. The students were part of a faculty-led, short-term study abroad program that has been introducing students to Belize since 2014.

McKayla Strohl, a May graduate of ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University-Lock Haven University in the Master of Science in Athletic Training program, was first introduced to the world of sports medicine in high school as a student-athlete. In her hometown of Northampton, Strohl also took sports medicine courses at Northampton Area High School and at Bethlehem Vocational Technical School.

No Tuition Increase at ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University for Upcoming 2023-24 Academic Year
As ÌÇÐĹÙÍø enters its second year, its students will not experience an increase in their tuition. The Board of Governors for Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) voted unanimously to freeze tuition for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year, keeping ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University one of the most affordable public higher education opportunities in the state.

After graduating from Lock Haven in May 2021, with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, Karly Trillhaase, of Eatontown, New Jersey, decided to stay at The Haven to pursue a master's degree in athletic training.

ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University Faculty Promotions Announced
Twenty-eight ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University faculty members have been promoted for the 2023-24 academic year. The promotions came after an evaluation process that was conducted in compliance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø University promotion policy. The promotions, which include faculty from the Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Mansfield locations, are based on the value of excellence in teaching as well as scholarship and service.

Lock Haven athletic training student completes internship at the University of Miami
This spring, Gabrielle DeBolt, of York, completed in a full-immersion athletic training internship at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. DeBolt graduated in May with a master's degree in athletic training, a bachelor's in health science and a minor in psychology.
